To develop, implement and evaluate an Integrated Model of Family Foster Care (MIAF) that, based on a collaborative approach between scientific knowledge, empirical evidence and professional knowledge, operationalizes the legislation in force and is replicable and sustainable at national level.

This project entails the development and the pilot study of the two MIAF’s modules at the Adoption, Civil Custody and Family Foster Care Unit (SCML-UAACAF): 1) Module on the evaluation, initial training and selection of foster families; 2) Module on Foster Care for a child.

The Project All4Children is funded by FCT and aims for the scientific validation of MIAF (results and process evaluation) in different regions and national institutions.

Through the ProChild CoLAB Academy, MIAF certification is available for institutions formally selected to implement family foster care (Instituições de Enquadramento), based on training and supervision programs, as well as there are consulting solutions for entities and training for professionals within the scope of MIAF.
