Carolina Silva
Designer in the Digital Technology area
Carolina started her academic journey in communication and professional image and video editing. She graduated in 2021 in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho, with a specialization in Audiovisual and Multimedia.
With graphic design skills, she gained experience as a photographer and videographer for social events, and as a social media manager for small businesses. During this time, she discovered her passion for utilitarian design and decided to pursue professional training in UX/UI design. She later enhanced her expertise by enrolling in a master’s program in Digital Design at the Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave, which she is currently completing. This program has allowed her to delve into 3D modeling and editing, as well as gain foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS.
The transition between these fields has exposed Carolina to a variety of professional challenges. In 2023, she worked as a Multimedia Designer at Bosch Portugal, where she created a series of explainer videos using Motion Graphics and 2D Animation for an internal platform.
She has also taught children up to the age of 12, introducing them to 3D modeling and basic programming concepts through digital games.
In 2024, Carolina worked as a research fellow at the Research and Development Institute of IPCA, where she began her master’s thesis on the topic: “Developing a Digital Mobile Solution for Buying and Customizing Footwear.”
Currently, Carolina is a UX/UI Designer at ProChild CoLab, where she contributes to the development of user-centered digital solutions.
