Graduate degree in Economics from the Nova School of Business and Economics, with a Master’s degree in Social Economics and a PhD in Economics from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho. He has relevant professional experience in teaching in higher education, as a collaborator in public and social sector institutions and as a consultant/analyst in social projects. He is a certified trainer. His research and intervention interests focus on poverty, social exclusion, inequalities, human migrations, citizenship, statistics, and public policies.
