Mariana Saraiva

Mariana has a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. She did her curricular internship at the Psychiatric Hospital Centre of Lisbon and her Master’s dissertation was focused in psychological processes that influence anxiety in competitive athletes.

She completed her Professional Internship for access to the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses (OPP) at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon, within the project “Unified Protocol for the Transdiagnostic Treatment of Children’s Emotional Disorders (UP-C): Multicenter Study to Evaluate the Acceptability, Feasibility and Efficacy of the Blended Version of the Program in Portugal”.

She believes that research and clinical practice should go hand in hand, being the author and co-author of several articles published in scientific journals. She is also very passionate about travelling and getting to know Psychology outside of Portugal, so she did two mobility periods under the Erasmus+ programme.

She aims to have an active role in the development, implementation and validation of programs that contribute to the mental health and well-being of children and their families.
