Mariana Justo

Mariana Justo holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Aveiro and a master’s degree in Health Psychology and Neuropsychology, also from the same university. During her master’s, she interned at the Rehabilitation Medicine Center in the central region – Rovisco Pais, where she worked with patients with spinal cord injuries. She also conducted research with preschool children as part of her dissertation, aiming to understand the impact of the Casa da Mata Program on executive functions.

Her academic journey encompasses various activities, projects, and volunteering. From 2020 to 2023, she participated in research projects, resulting in her first article with co-authorship. In 2022, she served as a member in the university’s academic association and worked as a math tutor, waitress, and statistical analysis assistant. In 2021, she obtained the Certificate of Pedagogical Competences. From 2019 to 2022, she volunteered in various institutions and organizations, including Casa Mãe das Aradas, projects like Mind the Mind and I.emotions Academy, and associations such as Refood and Sê Humano. In 2023, she won a scholarship from the Portuguese Association of Researchers and Students in the UK (PARSUK) for the project “Barriers and facilitators for the use of and access to technology by people with severe mental illness.” Subsequently, the opportunity arose to join the Protection Axis in the All4Children project as a researcher, and she is now part of the ProChild CoLAB team.
