Flávia Veppo

Flávia Veppo is a psychologist graduated from the Federal University of Rondônia, with equivalence from the University of Évora, and holds a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Coimbra. Additionally, she has a specialization in Clinical Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul.
During her undergraduate studies, her academic path was focused on research, having conducted three scientific initiations (IC). Her undergraduate thesis was a case study of a child with anorexia and its clinical evolution. After graduation, she dedicated herself to the clinical field of child and adolescent psychology and organized several scientific events.
During her master’s degree, she conducted a transcultural research project with Brazilian and Portuguese populations in the area of parenting and attachment. After completing her master’s degree, she worked at two major research centers in Portugal.
She worked as an Assistant Professor at São Lucas University Center (Brazil), and was a member of the Ethics and Research Committee of this academic institution.
Currently, she is a doctoral fellow in the field of development and biology, investigating the quality of maternal affective touch, neural responses, and self-regulation of children in families exposed to adverse contexts.
