Family Contacts and Meetings in Contexts of Justice and Child Protection

Family Contacts and Meetings in Contexts of Justice and Child Protection

Family Meeting Pointshare a social response that are a part of the activities of the Centers for Family Support and Parental Counseling (CAFAP), created in 2013. Currently, there are evidence of heterogeneity of practices and of lack of resources and of specific professional training. Therefore, there is a need to fully understand the professional practices available in the Family Meeting Points… It is equally urgent to define clear guidelines for physical spaces and professional practices in family contacts and meetings in areas that are not traditionally covered by the intervention activity of Family Meeting Points (eg, post-adoption, family foster care).

To study and develop high-quality physical spaces and professional practices in the promotion of family contacts and meetings, by safeguarding the child’s best interests, well-being and development, within the scope of judicial proceedings (Family Civil Proceedings, Child Protection), reunification in family foster care and post-adoption.
