Early childhood: Development, Education e Care
Child care centers are important contexts for child development during the first years. Through high-quality educational services, the experiences offered in these contexts can be determinant in preventing or protecting the child from the negative effects of adversity and social disadvantage. Ensuring and promoting the quality of these services is a priority in the current Portuguese context.
Promote the development and well-being of children between 0 and 3 years of age, working with Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) organizations, professionals, families and children through a model of assessment and evaluation, intervention and training in child care centers, based on international recommendations on quality practices and child development strategies.
