ProChild CoLAB researcher, Raquel Corval participated in the interview published this weekend, June 29, entitled: “The brave new world that exists inside the brain in a baby’s building”.
“The brain is much more plastic, more permeable to the influences of experiences, in early childhood than in adulthood. If the child grows up in a caring, protective and enriching environment this will be beneficial for their development; but the opposite will increase its vulnerability, with it promising its development. At the limit, toxic stress weakens brain architecture, which can lead to lifelong problems, with regard to learning, behavior and physical and mental health”, alerts Raquel Corval.
